Dr Dean Wright (Osteopath)
Dean completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education degree working in the fitness industry as a lecturer, exercise instructor and personal trainer prior to becoming an Osteopath. He has completed courses in Personal Training, Group Exercise Instruction, Tennis coaching, Golf coaching and Swimming Instruction. During his work as a health educator Dean became increasingly interested in Osteopathy and its core philosophies regarding healthcare and well-being. Dean completed the Osteopathic degree in 2003 graduating with distinction and has been involved in both general practice and University education since.
Dean has continued his education completing courses from the Barral Institute in Visceral manipulation, Biodynamics, Cranial Osteopathy, Dry Needling, Electro Needling and Exercise Rehabilitation.
On sporting note, Dean competed in Sport Aerobics, representing Australia for 4 years and won a World Championship in the mixed pairs division in 1997. By the end of his career Dean had won 9 State Titles, 7 National Titles, 2 World Bronze medals, 1 World Silver Medal and a World Championship Gold Medal. He has had the opportunity to give back to sport working with many athletes to improve their performance.
