Our Exercise Physiologists treat various conditions under the NDIS program such as:
- Neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and spinal cord injuries
- Autism
- intellectual disability
- Mental health condition
- Fibromyalgia
Our Exercise Physiologists provide NDIS patients with an individualised exercise program tailored to their goals and needs, along with offering the tools and knowledge to help self-manage their condition to improve overall health and quality of life. The benefits of clinical exercise may include improved mental health and self-esteem, pain management, improved physical ability, strength and mobility, capacity building for activities of daily living, gain independence and enhanced participation at work and in the community.
Funding for Exercise Physiology can come from one of two budget areas in an NDIS plan:
- Capacity building – Improved Daily Living
- Capacity building – Improved Health and Wellbeing
- NDIS services with an Exercise Physiologist can be provided as:
- Individual sessions
- Small groups
- Via telehealth
